Based on the 2022 Hendricks County Needs Assessment, the second highest community issue/need states “community leaders have self-interest rather than social responsibility and lack overall community knowledge.” Arguably, the inverse can also be true. Community members are uninformed about their local elected officials and with more information, taxpayers can make educated decisions about those that they vote to represent their interests. The goal of VoteHC (Vote Hendricks County) is to offer an easy to navigate knowledge base (mobile friendly website) to create greater understanding and confidence for community members of the roles and responsibilities of local elected leaders and information on elections.
